Customize Fonts and Type Color

The Typography settings panel.

All type throughout the site can be customized from the Typography section of the theme settings. Navigation Links, Footer, and Sidebar type have their own individual settings. Google web fonts can be used to replace headlines by pasting the font name into the Font Title field of the Typography section. You can browse the list of available fonts here: http://www.google.com/webfonts.

Change Logo & Backgrounds

To display your own logo, upload it (a .png file with a transparent background is recommended) in the Header > Logo panel and check the Use Image for Logo? checkbox. Logos can be up do 200px tall and 700px wide.

Changing Backgrounds

Background color and images can be customized for the Header, Page, and Footer. A selection of semi-transparent textures are included in the theme, which will display over the top of your selected Background Color. If you wish to display a custom Background Image, upload it in the Background panel of Header, Page, or Footer, and select header-bg.png, page-bg.png, or footer-bg.png, respectively, from the Background Image drop down.

Using a Single Background Image for the Entire Page

To display a single image across the entire page, set the Background Image of the Body in the Body Background section of the theme settings. Next, disable the Header, Page, and Footer backgrounds by unchecking their respective Use Background Image checkboxes, and setting each Background Color field to transparent.

Customize the Menu

The Header section of the theme settings will let you set the color of the main navigation links, and choose to display automatically generated drop down lists of Collections, product Types, and Vendors. To create a custom drop down menu, go to the Navigation admin panel, add a link to the Main Menu link list, and then create a new link list with the exact same name. Any links added to your new link list will appear in the drop down menu.

Change the Front Page Slide Show

You can display up to six slides with customizable links on your front page. Simply upload the images (all of equal height and 930px wide) in the Frontpage > Slideshow section of the theme settings, and check the adjacent checkbox. If you wish to remove the slideshow, simply uncheck the Use Slideshow? checkbox and select an alternative content page to display instead, or none to remove the section entirely.

Change the Front Page Promotional Images

The front page contains two optional promotional image slots. You can change the images and links in the Frontpage > Promotions section of the theme settings. If you don't wish to display any promotional images, uncheck the checkbox and the section will collapse.

404 Collection

You can choose to display a collection on pages which would otherwise be empty. This includes the 404 page, the search results page with zero results, and the empty cart page. You can set which collection to display in the General section of the theme settings.

Collecting User Emails

A newsletter signup form can be displayed in the footer and sidebar sections of your store. When submitted, it will create a customer record with name 'Newsletter, Subscriber' and tags 'prospect' and 'newsletter'. When a customer signs up, you will not receve an email notification. From the time the form is submitted, it may take up to 15 minutes for the new customer record to show up on your Customers page.
